To solidify Missouri S&T's position as one of the world's great technological universities will require a closer partnership with corporations and agencies who share our vision for a better society and a better-educated work force. By conducting research in partnership with such organizations, Missouri S&T professors and students help the private sector develop new technologies and business models, create new products and services for the knowledge economy, and strengthen the public-private partnership that helps fuel global economic growth.

An investment of $70 million in private grants will not only support the research activities that generate new knowledge and stimulate economic development, but also will undergird the core and emerging research functions of the university.
